“We first came to hear about Stirling homes through South Queensland Properties at Glenwood and thought we would go and see them in regards to building on our property out at Curra. Upon first meeting we felt comfortable and hopeful that they could build our dream home within our budget. Our plan was a custom design and Karen worked with our ideas every step of the way until we had our perfect plan. Getting the initial funding through our bank was proving to be difficult as they required council approved plans before the deposit could be released. With clever thinking, the Stirling Homes staff sent our plans to their certifier who stated he could not foresee a reason why these plans would not be approved which sufficed the bank. This was a huge relief. The building process began and we were very excited. We found the subcontractors and carpenters were EXCELLENT, when we went to view our house and the progress, they didn’t mind us looking whilst they were working and one of the contractors (who has left Gympie), even worked on the weekends to get our house finished on time as he knew the rent and mortgage was getting expensive for us. Also another tradesman even took the time to discuss paint options /colour options for us. The tradesman when above and beyond our expectations. Throughout the process we could phone the office at any time and have our questions answered. It was great to know the names and faces behind the people working on your home and not being transferred from one department through to another and having people say “I didn’t know that as it isn’t on your file”, with a smaller company like Stirling everyone is in the same room and they talk regularly so each individual knows what is happening across all the homes.. As we were renting whilst the home was being built, we were hoping to have handover as soon as possible. Stirling Homes appreciated our situation and Karen and Peter pushed their hardest to have the home finished well before the allowed time frames. We found all staff were wonderful and very passionate and understanding of our needs. The experience was a very memorable one for all the right reasons. I tended to phone them almost daily to see how things were going, which I’m sure was annoying, but they were always friendly and treated me like I was their only customer, it was wonderful.
We would definitely recommend Stirling Homes and to anyone looking to build an immaculate, value for money home.”

“We were very pleased with our house’s design, inclusions and quality of finish. It’s a very well-thought out and executed family home: stylish and practical. Colour choices of all materials is great: neutral and bright but definitely not ho-hum bland. It’s a consistent, total package with no “oh dear” rough edges that we could detect. Once the turf goes down, I can’t imagine any potential tenant not being attracted by it.
Incidentally, It was a pleasant surprise to learn that Barton Road is already an established residential street. Somehow we imagined that it was a new street in a bare earth raw housing development. The rolling hills in the distance really set it off, not to mention the proximity to all the services in attractive Gympie itself.”

We had a home built by Stirling Homes in 2008. After checking various builders in the Cooloola area, and asking a lot of questions regarding quality and price, we decided to build with Stirling Homes. Their quote and their quality were the best value and we felt comfortable with them. For us, Stirling Homes ticked all the boxes; price, quality, communication and flexibility. Having had a number of houses built over the years, we have always sought out a builder who was approachable, offered personalised service, and could build within a price to suit our budget.
One of the things that also impressed me was that Stirling endeavours to use local trade’s people. I have since called on some of them for extra projects that we have undertaken since building our house.
We have recommended friends to Stirling Homes and they too chose to build with them and are very happy with the end result.
